Important
Policies

1. Litter Release Date indicates the earliest date a kitten can leave for it's new home, without exception.

2. Kittens will not be shown or viewed prior to release date
The best way to guarantee a kitten is to make a deposit.

3. Always schedule an appointment.
Only 3 cats may be viewed at each 45 min. sitting.

4.There is a
$35 non-refundable cattery fee charged at time of scheduling
(can be applied to your purchase).

5. Pick-Up Day.
*VERY IMPORTANT*
I ONLY accept CASH
on the day of pick-up. I DO NOT accept checks on day of pick-up. All deposits MUST be cleared before scheduling pick-up.
If you arrive with a check for balance due
on day of pick-up I
WILL NOT be able
to release your pet.

6. The entire purchase process must be completed in one week's time. If you cannot pick-up your pet in this timeframe,
 arrangements must
be made and a
Boarding Charge
of $35 per week will be charged.

7. Please familiarize yourself with our *Cattery Rules* throughout our website prior to visiting.
NO Children
under 14 permitted
to visit.

8. Our policies are the result of many years of breeding experience...

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON RELEASE DATES on YOUNGER KITTENS**
All Kittens on this page will not be viewable
until their RELEASE DATE (after 2nd shot). This means that
we will not accept any appointments to view the kittens before 12 weeks of age.
If you would like to purchase a kitten, a deposit will hold that kitten
until they are ready to be released.
If you wait until their Release Date to purchase
there is very good chance they will be already sold.

Maine Coon Cats are the 'Gentle Giants' of the cat world--hardy, healthy, fun-loving companions that will charm you with their outgoing, sweet personality and impress you with their wit. They are known to be happy cats with wonderful dispositions. Their above-average intelligence makes them highly trainable and may even play 'fetch', pick up things, even play with water!

Maine Coons generally have:Athena, one of the gorgeous Maine Coon kitten veterans at Graro Maine Coon Cattery.

  • lush coats in most colors, including tortoiseshell
  • occasionally have ear-tufts that give them a 'lynx-like' appearance
  • most common breed color/pattern is brown with tabby markings
  • Eye color varies widely. All patterns may have green, green-gold, or gold or a combination of.
  • Blue eyes, or one blue eye with one gold eye, are possible in white coat cats
  • Share similar facial markings, ex. a distinct "M" shape on the forehead which is a dominant Tabby trait.

    We are a CFA registered cattery name located in beautiful West Islip, Long Island, NY. We live 2 miles from the beaches and Atlantic Ocean. All our cats are CFA registered and have proof of pedigree. We do not consider our in-home cattery a 'cattery'.  We put great emphasis on the quality of the lives of our Maine Coons so that when they arrive at your home they will become your beloved family cat. When you buy kittens they expect adoration and tolerance and return love, affection and hours of amusement.
    Our goal as quality Maine Coon breeders is towards producing a healthy cat that is a friendly and family oriented pet with the classic gentle giant look and impressive size. We place our Maine Coon kittens in homes where they will receive the love, care and attention that they are so willing to give to their new family. We spend endless hours socializing our kittens and cleaning their environment.

    In some cases, we can meet you part way or advise you as to when airline delivery would be best.
