1. This registered Maine Coon cat/kitten is sold as a ______________________________ (Pet, Show, and Breeder).

2.  Purchaser agrees ALL PAYMENTS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE, INCLUDING DEPOSITS.  No Health Guarantee will extend to a third party.

3.  Cats sold as pets or show alters will be altered before 6 months of age.  Upon breeder’s receipt of veterinarian’s verification of altering, the buyer will be provided registration papers.  Proof of altering will be in the form of a dated receipt from a certified veterinarian which includes a description of the animal involved.

4.  Cats sold as pets will not be shown in competition without permission of the breeder.

5.  Cats sold for breeding purposes will have registration papers provided at the time of purchase or, if they are not yet available, as soon as possible after purchase.

6.  Breeder is not responsible for any traits, breeding, or offspring traits of a pet kitten/cat. If a pet cat/kitten is allowed to breed, the Breeder reserves the right to take any necessary actions to make claim on any offspring or financial gain from this severe breach of contract.

7. Breeder cannot guarantee: size, color, eye color, and length of coat.

8.  The Breeder guarantees that the cat/kitten has been seen by a licensed veterinarian and is in good health.  The cat/kitten has had any vaccinations needed at time of transfer and has been de-wormed.

9.  The Breeder guarantees that the cattery is FeLV-FIV Negative and FIP Negative at the time of the sale, the cat/kitten is free from any disease.

10.  HEALTH GUARANTEE: We guarantee that this kitten is in good health, comes from a FeLV and FIV cattery, and is free at time of purchase of internal & external parasites. All adult cats have been tested & found negative for Feline Leukemia and Feline AIDS routinely. There are NO proven accurate tests for FIP.  Vaccinations with the FIP and FIV vaccines VOID ALL HEALTH WARRANTIES.  The kitten will be replaced for fatal congenital defects medically documented and received within 1 year of life. Feline Leukemia guarantee is limited to three (3) days once possession has been passed. In order for this health guarantee to be valid, the purchaser must have this cat/kitten examined by a licensed vet within 72 hours of possession of said cat/kitten (not including Sundays and holidays) to confirm cats/kitten's good health. These restrictions are because Breeder has NO control over what kitten is exposed to after leaving Breeder's home. Should a vet find this kitten in ill health, and feel that the illness was present at the time of sale and traceable to our cattery, Breeder will pay medical expenses that they would incur to treat the kitten not to exceed one third of the purchase price. Shipping costs, if applicable, are non-refundable. In addition the breeder must be informed of any such problems immediately and prior to any treatment in order for this guarantee to be in effect. The breeder reserves the right to get a second opinion.  Should the kitten/cat fall ill or die directly after vaccination, this is not covered under guarantee.

Since some hereditary/congenital/genetic problems do not surface until the cat is older, and we have no way of detecting them at an earlier age, breeder will guarantee for the first year of life against any life threatening or severe genetic health problems that would substantially shorten the life of this kitten (death). Upon a Veterinarians confirmation of such onset, the Breeder will at the return of kitten, replace the kitten as soon as a suitable kitten is available. There will be no cash refunds.  Shipping costs, of returning kitten and replacement kitten, if applicable, rest solely on Purchaser.

This is a limited warranty; any claims under this guarantee, must be made in the first year of purchase.

11. Should an airline carrier cause the sickness, injury, or death of a kitten from loss, negligence or delay, Seller will not be held liable. Once kitten has been accepted by the airline, we have no control over their actions. Responsibility rests solely on the Buyer to file a claim with an airline carrier at fault.

12.  The purchaser agrees to the following:

A.  Limit kitten to only a small area when they first get home, if there are other pets present, keeping the kitten quarantined for a short period of time.

B.  The cat will receive its booster shots and yearly veterinary examinations.

C.   Follow de-worming schedule and administer flea and tick treatment even if indoor only.

D.  The cat will not be denied needed veterinary attention.  If the owner is unsure whether or not the animal is in need of medical services, a vet will be contacted, the situation will be explained, and the vet’s advice will be acted upon.

E.  The cat will not be allowed outside except on a leash (under close supervision), or in a completely enclosed run.

F.  The cat will be given the proper diet in the proper amount (as specified at the time of sale), and will have fresh water available at all times. This also includes cat/kitten to have a clean and comfortable environment at all times and will provide adequate space and exercise.

G.  The cat will NOT be de-clawed.

H.  The cat will receive frequent and kind human attention.

I.  If for reasons other than the animal’s health you cannot retain ownership of the cat, the breeder will be given the first right of refusal.  Additionally, the purchaser agrees to obtain the breeder’s permission before selling or leasing an unaltered cat from this cattery to any other party for breeding purposes.

J.  No cat/kitten from this cattery may be bred to other than a registered Maine Coon cat.

K.  No cat/kitten from this cattery may be sold or given to an animal shelter, sold or given to a pet store, abandoned, or sold or given to a laboratory.

L. The buyer agrees to keep the breeder informed on the progress of the cat/kitten and growth in the new home.  Pictures are always welcome.

M.  For the warrantee to be valid provable documentation of all buyer requirements must be provided to breeder.

Legal disputes over this contract will be held in a court chosen by the breeder
